Well, they broke thr0ugh yesterday afternoon against Stone Christian Academy, winning by the score of 24-8. After the first quarter, though, it looked like more of the same, as the girls fell behind 7-2. However, the beginning of the second quarter found the starting lineup on the floor (c'mon girls, make the practices!) and the tide began to turn. The score at the half was 9-7, Patriots, as they tied their record for fewest points given up in a quarter (0). They began to pull away in the third, outscoring Stone 7-1, and then in the fourth, they dominated defensively once again, shutting out Stone while scoring eight of their own. The non-starters got some playing time in the fourth, and Alyssa D. scored the first basket of her career. Congrats, Alyssa!
Next game is Tuesday, December 18 at Victory Christian in Valparaison, IN. Hopefully the streak will stretch to two in a row.
