The Patriots record stands at 0-2 after losses at Landmark Christian on November 12 and at Christian Liberty on November 29. The game against Landmark was in their cozy gym in Tinley Park. This was the CHESS Patriots' first game (well, they were actually the Crestwood Cavalry at the time, but that is a story for another time) and the first game for most of the girls. They looked pretty good but fell 26-18. They didn't have an answer for their outside shooter who hit three threes down the stretch.
The game against Christian Liberty was against their junior varsity team. The girls played better, but again lost, this time by the score of 20-11. The girls, however, set a record in this game that will never be surpassed. That record is fewest points given up in a quarter, as the score at the end of the first quarter was 2-0, CHESS. The second quarter was not as favorable, ending with Christian Liberty leading 11-3. The Patriots picked it up in the third quarter outscoring the Eagles 6-2, pulling within four at 13-9. The Eagles pulled away in the fourth and won 20-11.
